I was going to order the bose but everyone is saying to go aftermarket. I thought it was not possible to go aftermarket due to the fibre optic wiring used.

Wait: you want to order at least some level of Bose to get the speaker holes and grilles, right?

Huh? Am I missing something? Ordering the Bose is ordering the Bose Audio Upgrade. I am not sure what you mean.

I'm sorry. What I meant: get the Bose so you can have the speaker holes and grilles and trim. Get ANY Bose, FL upgraded or not. Sorry to mislead.

I did not spec Bose in my 2009. I can;t stand the boomy loose bass and harsh treble the Bose systems seem to have. If the stock stereo is not good enough I will go aftermarket.

Ah, I understand, but will going to aftermarket speakers be possible? I was never able to in my Cayenne due to the fibre optic wiring.
