International economics are much more complex than that. Cars being cheaper in the US is nothing but a common misconception, it's a false illusion. The reason why some people might perceive that companies are selling products at a higher price in the US is because the dollar has lost 35-40% of it's value the latest 5-8 years. When the Euro was introduced it was worth exactly as much as the dollar. What has happened since then is that the Euro has remained powerful while the value of the dollar has crumbled to a ridiculous amount. Companies and manufacturers have on the other hand not touched their pricing strategies.
Canada is a more sensitive matter since it's neighboring nation to the US. Some companies have adjusted Canadian prices so that Canadians cross the border to catch a bargain in the US.
