Front end still doesn't look complete. The something is still not final around the intersections of the front bumper, fenders and headlights...
It looks like if you ever have to have a headlight changed then the bumper cover and hood will need to be removed. They both overlap the headlight housing.

True.
I saw pictures with the front hood open, and it leaves the headlight assembly out in the open, so I think replacing them or changing bulbs shoouldn't be too much of a shassle.
Having said that, I am not convinced that this shutline concept works: the looks of the recessed headlights are a bit awkward if you ask me. And though the shutline looks good in between the headlights, outside of the headlights it looks like the seem is being pulled open, so I hope that looks a whole lot better when we finally see cars with the side blinkers installed.

will there actually be any suprises come September 18th. I am guessing there will not. Porsche's market material seems pretty detailed on what the car will have, what it will weigh and what it will rev to.
Has there been an official announcement of the 100 HP increase? If not, I'd think that would be a "surprise."
Adam R:
I read a few pages back in this thread that someone was told by a good source that there'll be a 100 HP increase to put it more on par with the LaFerrari and P1. I'll see if I can find it.
@Adam R: I remember seeing this too. For me I think the question will be is this a sub 7 min hyper car. That might be a stupid metric and mean nothing to me on everyday life, but to spend this much money on a sports car must be b/c it has achieved something special. That performance with that energy efficiency (obviously not on the hot lap) would make it incredibly special and, in my opinion, a greater achievement than what Ferrari and Mclaren pursued.
I went to a 918 preview event at Silverstone today and was taken for a passenger lap in one of the development mules on part of the grand prix circuit. The mule is running at around 2/3rds power but it was seriously fast! The test driver took us out of the pit lane in electric mode and the acceleration is staggering in this mode and you feel like you are in the batmobile due to the noise it makes. When the V8 is brought into play the noise is incredible due to the top exit exhausts which are less than a metre behind your head. The four wheel steering system and phenomenal brakes make it supreme on a track. It's certainly the fastest car I've been in. The Porsche driver said you have to recalibrate your whole driving style as the braking points in this car are so much later than anything else and it can carry a huge amount amount of speed through corners thanks to the 4 wheel steering.
I think we are in for a real surprise with the final power output of this car
