To make few things clear about RS6+. It is last production run for RS6. After all RS6+ are sold there will be a two years gap till next RS6.
Lower weight? Current RS6 is barely heavier then Panamera Turbo.
RS6+ is basically last production run model in its current version.
So whats + about it?
It appears Audi won't wait for so long to introduce the next gen. RS6 based on the new model A6! That is good news! 2yrs gap is not a long time... especially cause new A6 is not even out!

SciFrog:
It needs less weight...
Why? It's not supposed to be a fast sports car like a Porsche 911. It's supposed to be a fast sports sedan, like an AMG Mercedes or M BMW. Any significant weight reductions without a very significant increase in price due to expensive materials, will result in significant penalties in luxury accoutrements. The RS6 is a fast luxury sports sedan. Weight isn't important. It's fast. It's luxurious. It's sporty, i.e. handles well. It's perfect.
News for the RS6 Plus:
The "Plus" can be ordered as a package, for the limousine as well as for the Avant. Both packages will be limited to 500 each.
There will be a RS 6 Plus Sport Package (WR6) for 3.520 Euro and a RS 6 Plus Audi Exclusive Package (WR 7) for 8.310 Euro.
Both packages feature a plate at the centre console with number, design-package carbon for engine bay, 20"-wheels (5-Segmentspeiche) with 275/35 ZR 20 tyres, limited topspeed of 303 kph (as Kreso said), Sportfahrwerk plus, leather exclusive for instrument panel and parts of the centre console, floor mats with RS 6 writing. The Audi exclusive package further features Audi exclusive leather (Paket 2) in leather Valcona.

Good news. Except the plate with the number, my RS6 saloon won't be missing anything from the RS6+ :)
IMHO, no RS6 should be ordered without Ceramic Breaks, Sport Suspension Plus, leather dashboard and Nardia headlining (thanks Kreso!).
Does anyone know how many R6 saloons have been build so far?

I wonder if Audi will bring the RS6 Plus over to the States as they did with the RS4 convertible? Never say never...;-)
Sorry to say this-but the answer to your question is NO.
Kreso, I'm afraid I have to trump you here, as Worldcarfans just reported the following:
"MTM Distributor Horchaus to Import Audi RS6s to North America
Canadian firm Horchaus has begun importing several Audi vehicles into North America. The company is focusing on models not available in that region, including the Audi RS6 Avant, RS6 Sedan, as well as the discontinued B7 RS4 Avant.
Pricing on the Audi RS6 Avant is set at about C$115,000, or US$108,000, according to the distributor's website. That is a huge discount over the car's German retail price of €110,650, the equivalent of almost C$162,000.
"We, at horchaus, believe that the RS6 is too much of an incredible vehicle to prevent North America from enjoying its brutal power," the company says on its website. "We are currently in a strategic position to import RS6s to the North American (i.e. Canadian and American) market."
The distributor worked out an arrangement with the manufacturer for the cars to maintain their original warranties. In an agreement with Audi, the factory will modify North America-bound cars to fit U.S. inspections, eliminating third-party tuners from the mix. The vehicles are then sent to either American or Canadian ports, where they are legitimately cleared through customs as street-legal vehicles.
Horchaus serves as the Canadian distributor for German tuners MTM. The company is offering to upgrade the RS6's 5.0-liter bi-turbo aluminum V10 engine from the stock 571 hp (426 kW / 579 PS), 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) rating for C$10,000. This will boost the engine to nearly 735 hp (548 kW / 745 PS) and up to 785 Nm (579 lb-ft), cutting the 0-100 km/h sprint time by a half-second to 4.1 seconds.
The distributor has already brought two RS6 models into North America. The firm is looking into import potential for the Audi S3, and the Audi TT-RS."

Your post deserves serious answer:
AUDI HQ in Germany DO NOT support or allow such grey import. There is NO official or unofficial blessing from Audi HQ in Germany for importing C6 RS6 models to USA or Canada-these models are not designed for North American market.
No certified Audi dealer within the USA or Canada does have all necessary equipment, not talking about specific knowledge and backround information to service RS6. Service department that can handle R8 V10 CAN NOT handle RS6.
NO warranty what so ever for custumers of grey import RS6.
Point is-if you are willing to risk a lot and import EU specs car to USA then simply take all things in picture.
Next gen RS6 will be available in USA as well.

It would appear however that the press release directly contradicts your claims around warranties and grey market status.
Somebody in Audi HQ must have blessed the relationship with Horchaus, how else do you explain their claim that they "worked out an arrangement with the manufacturer for the cars to maintain their original warranties. When you actually SEE RS6 modified for USA market you will know...
My info is coming directly from Audi quattro Gmbh HQ in Neckarsulm, Germany and person that I am contact with told me that most info in that press release is not true at all.

The old "I have a friend who has a friend..." story ?
I doubt that ANY large car manufacturer would make exclusive deals about a single specific model with a single dealer(ship). This doesn't make sense at all.
I wouldn't exclude it, everything is possible in the US but I never heard that Audi or any other german manufacturer would go this road.
Maybe the same story I heard about Dinan tuning: somebody in a US forum claimed that Dinan is the "official" BMW tuner in the USA, which of course is pure crap.

That text is a little weird, as if it has been deliberately worded to mislead the unwary:
- What good will the "original (European) warranty" do you if you take this car to a US AUdi dealer? Will he honor it? How long for?
- No mention is made of the cars having US market "Certification" (the correct term), as a standard manufacturer-imported series production car would have. The phrase "modify ..... to fit US inspections" smells very fishy.
- All grey-market import road cars are "legitimately cleared through customs as street-legal vehicles."

Kreso, it looks like your supsicions may indeed be correct. The Canadian company that issued the press release, Horchaus, has now changed their website to say the following "At this point, we’ve succeeded to bring one RS6 into Canada, and are currently working our way through the regulatory commissions to ensure that the cars we bring in meet all North American regulations. Though we are incredibly excited about this project, we are currently not in a position to confirm its feasibility." Sounds like they jumped the gun and have been wrangled back in by Audi...
