BOGUS!
There is no way the GT-R is hanging with the LP640 in the straight line.

Agreed. The telemetry from our recent test of the LP560-4 shows that the GT-R would not be able to stay with that, so the LP640 should be comfortably clear.

I almost forgot that we ran the LP640 together with the GT-R in our launch video.. Well I can definitely confirm that the LP640 is quicker, much quicker in a straight line.

I know and the video showed exactly that...
Anyway, just out of curiosity,I looked at the Supertests of the LP640 and Gallardo Superleggera again and suprisingly the Gallardo was faster in the 80-180 in 4th and 5th gear (by 1.2 seconds in both cases).

Having spent the afternoon with the GTR at a very wet silverstone, the one legacy this car leaves you with is its tremendous grip and breaking. In short i found myself taking much more speed into bends and leaving breaking until very late. The car flattered my driving skills. When i laterally drove with a professional driver (he regularly drove P cars last year and this year drives for Ferrari) the speed he carried through the turns was just phenomenal. I would be very interested to see how my short and unprofessional experience compares to yours Steve

Did you experience the GTR in the dry at all Nidge?
I am at Silverstone a week today, fingers crossed for a dry day, but am curious to experience it's performance in the wet.
I'm expecting something similar to my Dads 997 turbo in terms of performance, but have never driven anything quicker than an m3 myself.
