Well said said from another 997 Turbo to 997 GT3 convert. Not going back.
I don't like them noisy. Must be the mid-40s hormones. My 997S had a frickin exhaust system _drone_ which drove me nuts.
I'll take the TT GT version, thank you.

Normally for Porsche, the Turbo S is the last model in the current series and it's there to say it bluntly, clear off Porsche's old remaining parts. It's really not a good deal as the face-lifted models will be on sale together with the Turbo S. Don't we all wish Porsche would sell all the models at the same time in the beginning of a new series.

I should re-phrase... most if not all 997 TTs around here are tiptronic... coupled with that lack-of-exhaust-sound, and the 4-wheel system, the car becomes a bit too perfect, even bordering on boring... the next GT3 (997 MKII) should be around 440-450 bhp... with an exhaust note which should be even more exciting than current GT3, the next GT3 should be a true beast... having said that, and in defense of the 911 turbo, the earlier models, 930, 964, and even the 993 TT, were far more exciting than the 996 and 997 TT... same goes for the GT2... the 993 GT2 is still a highly collectible and sought-after car, whereas the 996 GT2 are just taking they share of depreciation (if not more than their share)... do i need to expand more!

Could say that about pretty much every car. Even Ferrari are starting to feel the pinch and prices are starting to show depreciation here in UK.
We all know why we buy these things and it certainly isn't for investment.
I do think it's a shame P don't introduce the Turbo S earlier in the model cycle.
