Tried the E55 today. V Fast. Noticeably quicker in a straight line than the 997, but somewhat dull. It felt like a luxury car with a hugely powerful engine, which I suppose is exactly what it is.
QuickSix, I hear what you are saying, but I'm certain if I kept the 997, it would spend most of it's time in the garage.
It's only for two years!!! Then the Panamera, which hopefully will look a lot better than the spyphotos.
Again, the same advice from me as some of the other guys, I would keep the 997 and get a reasonably good sized cheap secondhand car if parking is not an issue. You will definitely get a chance to use the 997 and won't feel bad because the amount of money you will loose on the depreciation of the 997 probably exceeds what it will cost to get a reasonable second hand car.
My brother made the decision not to have a 911 (996 at the time) and get two Subaru's A WRX for her and a Liberty / Legacy Turbo for him. She hardly ever drives her car and since the baby is small their going out is a lot more limited than it used to be - he is keen to get behind the wheel of his favourite car no doubt.
Meanwhile, if you want to sell - let me know, my old mans still in the UK and is thinking of getting a 997 too. PM to let me know, happy to give you a buzz to have a chat or send an e-mail.
