the 718 gives them cover to reverse the relative pricing mistake of the Cayman...they will simply give each the SAME stated HP now and leapfrog the Boxster base price above the Cayman...everything else will prob be the same as now...those expecting the price leap to include additional exclusive content in the Boxster only need to look at the 911...not gonna happen

This current artificial HP difference is so retarded. At the launch of the Cayman, with the 3.4l non-DFI engine, both the Boxster and the Cayman had 295HP. To then try to justify the mistake with the higher intro price for the Cayman by giving it a few more HP in the coming facelift was a double mistake.

The other interesting claim is that the facelift Boxster/Cayman won't receive 4-cyl at launch. So, I wonder if they continue with n/a Flat-6 or turbo Flat-6 (like the 991 is reported to receive). Smiley
