was offered this yesterday by my Aston guy. offering to take the rapide s as trade-in....high chance I might do the trade if offer is reasonable. I like my rapide for what it is and am not too crazy about a mercedes in an Aston dress....then again why not.
in fact what I like about the rapide is that it is pure Aston design language when they still knew what they were doing. but feature wise its kind of obsolete.
will see
I confirmed the deal on the vantage roadster today. trading in my rapide S.
it wasn't really planned, dealer had called to check my interest and I was so so. as mentioned elsewhere I am not really interested currently in new cars....usually I was between the rapide and the g63 for the short distances I drive.
then again I thought the rapide is now approaching 6-7 years and it was already long in the tooth when new. I liked the v12 and the cars style. but it is in no way a modern car. hence I decided to exchange it for fresher car. and fresh by Aston standard is far from cutting edge
so now am looking forward to a ceramic blue vantage roadster. should be receiving it in the coming 2-3 weeks.

Mithras:Intouch, you liked the rapide though? My wife wants one as a second daily driver car. I don't mind if it's a little archaic, the everyday SUV has all the toys.
Mithras, yes I do like the rapide. archaic it is as you correctly mention. then again the archaic interior controls do seems special due to the use of high quality materials. the interior feels very special.
the engine is lovely with a beautiful exhaust note to it. very Aston Martin. it also drives well and handles nicely.
go for a recent one with the 8 speed ZF
there's also the AMR version which might be a bit over the top looks wise.

happy to say that my V8 looks better...
I find it strange that Aston limits the number on these just to be able to command a higher premium and make more profit per unit.
maybe they think they would not have sold that number of units in the same timeframe gad it not been limited.
Enmanuel:intouch1:happy to say that my V8 looks better...
+1. It would probably look better without the wing too.
Mixed feelings about this. Yes, the numbers do look good, but I think they‘ve overdone it when it comes to the design.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.

Looks like you can spec without the rear wing, Definitely the way to go.
