    Damn, I think Nick may have a point.

    If you consider General Motors' position, that company is (unintentionally) a non-profit organisation, and this is largely because so much of its "earnings" go towards financing the health plans and company pensions of retired ex-employees (= benefitting mankind).

    No, the difference is that I don't take it upon myself and waste my time to constantly complain and distort ad nauseum on the Ferrari forums about Ferrari while I do worry about the sportcar that I like and own.

    People here tend to favor Porsche? well, its a largely a Porsche enthusiast forum, what do you expect? I complain when I have to since it affects me because it what I drive and enjoy, but whats your excuse to complain?

    But what about the announced price by Dillinger of 7,000 Euros.
    That sounds really good value!
    do you confirm RC? Or you believe it'll be more around 12,000?

    The only thing I can say is that I doubt the 12000 Euro price figure. Sorry but I don't have any precise figure yet, all I know is that it is supposed to be a "fair" price, whatever this means.

    And what about the September availiblity?
    Along with the 7,800 rpm cut out and the added torque?
    That sounds weird, as in the past, the powerkits have added hp in the high revs, passed 6,000 rpm but never more torque as the engine displacement remains unchanged.
    Can you remind me how you felt about your powerkit on your Carrera 4 (3,4L)?
    Thanks for your help, as you know, timing is quite important for me right now

    I don't expect a spectacular power/torque gain from the rumoured powerkit. I mean 25 HP aren't quite a lot, expect around 1 second less acceleration time from 0-125 mph (200 kph) but nothing really worth worrying about.
    355 HP or 380 HP, most people would never make use of the extra 25 HP but of course, as always, it is nice to have the maximum possible power. The 7800 rpm figure is pure fantasy but this shouldn't be a problem, right?!

    Im one of the group that are anticipating the powerkit, but please take into account that my post was an April Fools Joke!!

    So everything i said it was out of my mind!! Including revs,price,HP and everything!!
    So dont count on it. Lets wait for the real news

    I have talked to a friend of mine working for Porsche. He said to me that widebody will come for sure. In Germany this year (sept. or oct.) with 40 mm wider body. About X53 and 381 HP he said he doesn't know anything and !!! he can't say anything. So there is something, but I don't know what it is. It could be a powerkit .
