    Widest tire for stock C4S front rims?

    I'd like to get a little more stick up front for my '02 C4S without resorting to suspension changes and thought some wider rubber up front might do the trick. Anyone know what is the widest tire I can put on the stock front: 8 J x 18 rims and still maintain the correct aspect ratios?

    235/35/18 would probably work well

    Standard tyres are 295 like the Turbo.
    You can probably put GT2 tyres on it, but you'll have to change the rims.

    GT2 wheel set could be the perfect solution. You should be aware though that Porsche does NOT approve the GT2 wheels/tires for the 996 Turbo/C4S because of possible problems with the visco clutch/4WD.
    So it actually doesn't matter if you go for aftermarket wheels or the GT2 wheel set, both are not approved.
    Some Tuners offer 19'' wheel sets with 235 rubber in front and 305 on the rear. Might be a solution too.

    Personally I'd recommend keeping the original stuff or going for the GT2 wheel set.
