For some further info on the 812, asked one of the journo's at Pistonheads who knows my car history a bit, to see where he places the 812 compared to say a GT3 (from a dynamic standpoint)
Hi Frank! You might be pleased to hear this (or not) but I have spent a couple of days with an 812 SF and I think it's the most exhilarating car on sale today. It drives like a front-engine supercar rather than a traditional GT; super sharp, agile and alert. Which can actually be a bit wearing at points, but you won't want for excitement. I think a GT3 really might be more refined! But yeah, I absolutely adore them.
I also think that V12 is the greatest engine I've ever experienced, and that includes Carrera GT, Lamborghini V12/V10, Mezger, the new Porsche 4.0 and so on. Sensational
In other words, resistance is futile...
At the same time congratulations to my good friend and colleague who's picking his up today.
