Ferrari 360 F1 vs 600S Mercedes
I just read the lastest issue of AUTOCAR magazine where they tested a Ferrari 360 F1 against the new V12 twin turbo Mercedes 600S. Strange comparison but interesting none-the-less.
The times for the 360 were an amazingly quick... 0-60 mph in 4.2 and the 1/4 mile time of 11.7 @ 117 mph
The 600S posted times of 0-60 in 4.6 and 1/4 mile of 12.9 @ 114 mph, a very quick time for a 4300 pound 4 door sedan!!
I have not seen a pubished time for the 360 that is faster then that...it is faster then most 996tt's, stock and modified. (not including cjv's car).
I wonder what Ferrari did to that motor ?? What ever it was I hope they pour a little of that magic into the 360 S and 420 Modena's coming out this summer!!
Note: I understand that numbers are not the whole picture when it comes to Ferrari's, but, its nice to see Ferrari posting some great numbers anyway.
