This is the best photo I've seen of the Giulia thus far that conveys a sense of the curves on the bodywork. The review by Car magazine is also very positive.

Alfa needs to do a Euro Delivery program with its cars like the Germans and Swedes. Cars are built in Modena at the Maserati factory. Supposedly they are considering such a plan. I think the German government subsidizes its industry for this program (since after WWII) to promote tourism. I think this is why most makers offer a discounted price.

Thanks - I guess the representative at Alfa USA I spoke with on the phone has to do more homework 
Is the 4C built in Modena? Looked at Lazio on the map - just outside Rome.

The 4C is built in Modena, yes.
Lazio is a region; Rome is part of the Lazio region and so is Cassino.

Agreed! 
As a long time Alfa enthusiast ( 2 X Alfasuds, Sud Sprint Veloce, GTV, GTV6 and finally a 164 3.0V6 Lusso) it's great to see Alfa back on good form after too long in the doldrums. Best Buy low mileage used as no doubt depreciation will be savage.

Sorry but while the offer looks tempting, I'm not so sure this is really a good deal.
Also, the advertised 0-100 kph, etc. performance numbers are only achieved with he automatic tranny, not manual.
Right now, even the 4C Coupe seems to have reached some slow sales moments in Germany, there are already special lease offers available and the waiting time isn't long (if any).
People don't seem to "trust" Alfa Romeo anymore, the past experiences have been too bad it seems.

bluelines:Yes, I had a look at the 4C yesterday and there are almost 100 for sale in Switzerland.
Which is quite surprising considering how people seem to love the design of the car. Many call it a baby Ferrari and in a positive sense. Maybe a bit too much Ferrari for their own good sake.

I think it is the quality quirks + people not used to driving a raw feeling car like the 4C. For example, I can take my GT4 practically anywhere and drive it for almost any duration. My Lotus on the other hand is a pure point A to point A type car...usually 2 hours max before I begin to get tired, but boy is it fun.

You could be onto something here, indeed. Maybe the 4C just seems or feels to impractical for many, this is highly possible. Also maybe it is too expensive for a casual 2 seater and not extreme enough for those weekend toy racers who just want a lightweight toy for having some fun.
