    Very beautiful

    Does anybody know who is the manufactorer for those beautiful seats?





    the first is from 550 barchetta and the second from 360 spider.
    They are a bit different but look same style. I would guess sparco. Does anybody know it for sure?

    Don't know, but I agree with you.
    There are beautifull and comfortable!!!.
    The Modena I tried was equiped with those seats, and four points harness.
    Great!!! You really feel that you are one with the car.
    They are wider than the buckets used by Porsche (I tried the GT2 as well, lucky me ) which is good for me because I have quite broad shoulders.
    And on the Ferrari seats, you can incline the back as well
    I am sure Christian or the other Christian (CR) would know the answer.
    Actually talking about seats.
    They are three different choices for Porsches.
    Standard, sports and buckets.
    I have standard which is fairly supportive, but not great.
    I've been told Sports seats are not really that different, true or false?
    As for Buckets, I love the idea (are they Sparco or Recaro) but they are a bit tight.
    Christian, do they make them in different sizes like the F40, F50 and Enzo Buckets, that would be great
    Was does your wife think in terms of comfort?
    I know what you think already
    And when you order a Turbo with buckets (like you) do they automatically remove the rear seats ?

    I was told these seats come from SPARCO. For other models some of the seats are manufactured by Ferrari itself, others come from KEIPER RECARO.

    Hi François,

    My Turbo (bought it 2nd hand) had comfort seats. I then installed the bucket seats (aka GT3 seats, made by Recaro) and don't regret it. Actually, I love them.

    I drove a Boxster S with sport seats last week. The difference to the comfort ones is really negligible. One thing is sure: it's definitely not worth switching from comfort to sport seats. Way too expensive, and doesn't add much lateral support.

    BTW, my girlfriend really likes the bucket seats too. Ok, she's a bit crazy and loves aggressive driving too...

    I was told that the buckets found on the Challenge cars are directly from Sparco, but the carbonfibre ones that Ferrari offers as an option, the ones on the pics, are available through Ferrari only (at least this is what dealer told me), they are available as a retrofit for only CHF 8500 (EUR 5700) !
    If they were offered at a more reasonable price I would probably go for it, but there seems to be no way to find them from third parties.
    BTW also the Modena and 550/575 buckets come in 3 different sizes.

    The buckets form Prosche are also very nice and the look great. But they are a bit to uncompromising. Thats what I like at seats i postet above, look also great, but you can still adjust the back if you like.

    huh... Given the option's description in Porsche's booklet, it might well be the case. But I guess we're gonna need RC's help on this one!...

    I agree with fanch, the Ferrari racing seats rally "glue" you to the car. However, on large distances (4 hours or longer) I am missing more support for the lower part of the vertebral column. Having said that, I would order them any time again...

    That saves quite a lot of weight, hehehe...
    Plus, believe or not, I sat at the back of the GT2 for a while, it's not that uncomfortable, because the shape of the seat is still there but there is much more headroom

    Nice pictures Avoe. I love those seats sporty yet very calssy.

    I was quoted $15,000 for the Ferrari sport seats in my 360.

    If you were to order them as an option it would be around $5000.

    My figure of 5700 Euros is for each seat.As a retrofit from the dealer.

    Porsche approves mounting the GT3 seats only if the rear seats are removed.
    I know that some owners are pretty "clever" and mount only one GT3 seat (usually the driver's seat) and think they can keep the rear seats by this method. They're wrong. Even if one mounts only one GT3 seat, the rear seats have to be removed. Has to do something with liability, etc.
    Of course people don't have to stick to these "rules" but in a case of an accident (for example if the rear passenger kisses the hard case of the GT3 shell and looses half of his teeth ), the insurance company might refuse paying for it because the manufacturer (Porsche) didn't approve it.

    In Germany, mounting the GT3 shells without removing the rear seats is not allowed.
