Half does , half doesn't . The color scheme is not helping either . Put lots of black and some carbone , and it will already look sportier .
The problem, again , is this huge middle console . That was already a fault on the 991

Unfortunately, Volkswagen Group appears to have pushed cost cutting through component commonality too far. Not only does that image look like the interiors of the other Porsche models, except the 718 twins, it also resembles the new Bentley Continental GT as well as the Audi A8, A7, A6, and Q8.

The 992's rear spoiler when deployed is really ugly, being so wife reaching over the sides of the rear it distorts the car's looks completely and looks like part of the bumper is breaking off, you'd think of they make it that wife and big that they would at least bother to give the underneath an exterior finish instead of looking like the the inside part of the engine bay or inside of a bumper part...
They are going to make a killing seeking ducktail spoilers and full painted bumpers option on the 992 like with the PSE on the 991.2

Sorry, couldn't help myself.
To get back to the point, I have been wondering as well about that. For one, I love how they integrated the expanding rear wing into the shape of the car, but it has resulted in some awkward looks; when closed, the shutlines over the side are not very elegant, when opened, it looks like pieces are coming off the car... I'm not too sure about the execution.
Having said that, did anybody see pictures with the engine cover open? Will it look the same as with the spoiler up, but then with some internal panels opening up as well?

I hope the cars shown so far are not completely finalized. Porsche cannot be serious about presenting the final design with all these expanses of unpainted black plastic at front and rear. Too ugly and cheap. Is it a Porsche or a light commercial vehicle?
As to the extreme wing, this seems to be at its highest position (at the 200+km/h level perhaps?). Too fast for anyone to be able to see clearly as the car is speeding past.

Reginos, the lower part of the rear bumper is still covered in black camo tape. The real black area is limited to the area below the red reflectors. BTW, the sideways extension of the rear ligths is also camo.
On the front, the black area is limited to the front lip and the big inlets. If you combine the information from the various spy shots, you should be able to get a pretty clear view of where the camo is.

Extra points for knowing the engine is in the rear. Not bad.
There is still a bit not being shown so I will reserve my judgement. In the end knowing it is the new one and that it is very expensive will be the catalyst to buy one. Looks matter less than opening the wallet for all to see. Unless you are a die hard Porsche lover like me. Or you live in RCs neighborhood. Lol.

I agree that, as pictured, the deployed spoiler looks unfinished. Perhaps, however, the final model will have the underneath part of the spoiler painted in body color, as will the body metal just over the rear lighting strip. Then the deployed spoiler will be more harmonious with the rear of the car.

I find that the ultimate irony is that despite all the informative vehicle display and navigation technology stuffed into automobiles, the majority of drivers on the road in the US are dangerously distracted and disengaged from the actual duties of driving. Perhaps it’s different outside US. The 992 interior would be fine w/o the screen.
