    Best Porsche dealers in the US

    With the weak dollar I plan to sell my CS and get a new C2 in the US. Can you, US Pdrivers give a few names of good official porsche dealers?
    Has anyone on this board from Europe thought about the option of importing a porsche (produced in germany )from the US?

    I bought my GT3 from Porsche of Huntington. I reccomend them.
    Ask for Mark.
    Do your self a favor and do not have anything to do with Manhatten Motor Cars or South Shore Porsche in Freeport NY.
    I can tell you from personal experiance that neither one displays any professionalism or integrity.

    Try Larry "Rev" Reynolds at Champion Motors in Pompano Beach, Florida. Great guy and a professional. He's also an enthusiast, a Porsche owner and very knowledgeable about the cars he sells. He is on Rennteam under User ID Revvv. My brother and I have had the best of experiences from him and travel 2.5 hours from Orlando to Pompano to buy a car from him when we need to, even when there are closer dealers.

    I would use Larry as well ! I have bought 2 911's both from Larry, both times 10 out of 10.

    Danbury Porsche, Danbury Conn. Contact: Chip Hall, also an enthusiast. However, I've heard U.S. warranty void in Europe? Check it out before moving forward.

    You may encounter some issues trying to re-import the US spec Porsche back into Germany, as Porsche (like I imagine other European manufacturers) have provisions in place that should prevent US dealers from selling someone a new car if they suspect the buyer is going to immediately export the car.

    I would try and contact people in Germany that have managed to get past the safeguards Porsche has in place to see how they did it.. maybe they have specific dealers that are a 'weakness' in the system to prevent re-importation.

    I would use Larry (Reynolds @ Champion Motors Pompano Beach, FL) as well. I bought a 911 from him and sold the same car to him when I left the US.

    I have had very good luck with Beechmont Porsche here in Cincinnati. Bruce Harnish is my contact and I always get exemplary product knowledge and attention from him.

    Porsche has some pretty strict guidelines for dealers selling "across borders," but if you are serious, try HBL Porsche (also known as Porsche of Tysons Corner) in Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. It is owned by the Penske Automotive Group, and these folks don't mess up. Talk to Pat Driscoll, a super salesman committed to customer service.

    Have had great service at Porsche Greenwhich and also Porsche Fairfield (both in connecticut, usa).

    I would stay away from Manhattan Motorcars in NYC, they are overpriced for everything.

    NJ dealers also always have great prices...

    I would like to ship my 997S, launch edition, to Europe - drive it for a two week vacation and then sell it there. Is anyone interested in a REALLY good price on a 05 997S in excellent condition - blk/blk, full leather, PCCB, bose, adaptive, heated seats, chrono - etc. 50K euro or less. I just need to know where to drive it to at the end of my trip. I have several residences in Europe I need to visit - Vienna, Andorra (Pal) and Soto Grande and could meet somewhere along the way.

    Just 47K miles - under warranty for another month or to 50K. About to have my last service under warranty done, my dealer is very good at finding any problems under warranty. This car has never been a garage queen and is driven every day. I have owned 7 911s in my lifetime (from 16-44) and have kept each one for a long time and treated each as though I would own it forever, so you are buying from someone who is totally involved with the car and how to take care of it. It is a wonderful car at what my be an excellent price, especially in Europe.
