Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

coupe is a US spec judging from the rear bumper. Those exhaust tips look even worse somehow

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

tips look like a single ( real ) outlet in the center flanked by fakey-doo ones at either side...worst exhaust outlets yet, imo

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

    Lovely! thanx for the pics.

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

Is it a red stripe that we see on the cab?

    Have one on me. Cheers!

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

Some of the "camoed" 4S cars had that red peeking through on both ends at the rear above the bumber., before thet took the wraps off for the debut of the models. Why a stripe on the cab and not the coupe, but that for sure looks the the Stripe.

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

I am so happy right now

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

What is also strange is the FL 997 has done away with fog lights in favor of DRL's. Not so on the Turbo evidently, altho the coupe model appears to have tape or camo over the fogs

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

If I were looking to buy a Turbo now I'd either buy the original right now instead of waiting another year for delivery or I'd wait for the Turbo S. This refresh is like a White elephant. It's really going to be even more fugly than the fugly looking rear lights if they put the red bicycle reflector on the rear. Plus the exhaust outlet shape was never really a good idea but making it bigger is kinda funny, it was already pretty bad but look at what it's going to look like! Ugggghhh! I cant help but to already look past it & think about what the next Turbo Cab will be like.

Maybe the cab's bootlid is the definitive one, whereas the coupe's is still the old one as this car is a pre-serie unit anyway?

I completely agree with all your comments. The red reflector will be a big deal-breaker.

True. Looks tacky. Also, why can't they keep the current rear-light design for the facelifted TT and just upgrade it with LED tech?

Porsche designers have already been named as the world's laziest, ever. They have decided to do something about it.

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

I don't think that what we see is a red stripe. Because part of the rear light cluster is camoed, the reflectors in there are hidden. For safety regulation, they stuck on two small red reflectors left and right. We've seen those on the facelift mules of the ordinary carrera's as well.

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

Joost is correct, just a reflector because of the camo rear lights.

The dramatic changes are not visible at these cars, it seems that they have a wider track and for me it looks like 20" rims??

Re: 911 turbo MKII on testdrive at Nuerburgring

OEM claimed lap time is 7.15

    (Just kidding )

You better be! Spreading misinformation isn't what this board is about and you should know better since you're a moderator .
