    whats your experience with a 997 GT3 PCCB?

    I was wondering, for the ones of you who are using their GT3 with ceramics on track every once and then, how your experience with this cost-intensive extra been so far?
    Porsche recommended to me a set of bright greenish pads, coming straight from Porsche Motorsports in Weissach, which apparently stand the heat generated on tracks better and therefore protect the rotors.

    How is your experience with that?
    I would be curious to know!

    I track my 997 GT3 3-4 days per month. The PCCBs are great! No problems. They perform beautifully. I highly recommend them.

    porsche put out a service bulletin for the GT2 a few weeks ago about thicker/stronger "track pads" for the PCCB, surely they're interchangeable.

    I've got the PCCB on my RS and after a few track days have nothing but good things to say about them...just make sure you bed them in right and you're good to go.

    can you explain how to properly "bed" the brakes? I'm trying to do this with a newly purchased 996 GT3 that has ceramics that squeal like hell even when not braking

    beding the brakes properly means to break them in easily. warm them up gently before using them hard on the track.
    Best thing is to go on an installation lap before driving the car hard...that will adjust the breaks slowly to the heat and use...

    It's a series of hard stops. I am not sure of the number and from what speed to what speed but if you check the GT3 forum on Rennlist it has been discussed there.
