The definately look the part! Could you please share some details with us?
* It looks partially carbon fibre. Is this full carbo, or just one layer on top of another material?
* What material are the spokes?
* Is it just the outside rime that is carbon, or the full width of the tire?
* How much weight savings with regard to standard rims?

Joost, they are fully carbon fiber rim and the spokes are made from magnesium, they are custom made by this company and are standard equipment on Koenigsegg now. (sp?)

Yikes! Well..., it would certainly be a day- or week-ruiner to break one.
The bright side? You could do a nice _cosmetic_ repair and put that wheel in your living room table or on the wall as a work of art.

Sweet Lord! So very very very HAAWWT!!! IMHO *THE* best Turbo wheel.
Much as I love my HRE P40, I think yours looks "better." LOVE the slender grey spokes against carbon background! Such nice contrast.
Congrats Duffy. I envy you and would like to see pictures of these things on your amazingly well planned and beautiful Turbo.

Weights of wheels:
I will weigh the factory wheels after the Dymags are installed.
Unfortunately things are on hold for a while. See the last picture. One of the wheels has a small defect in it. My options are to keep with a small monetary adjustment or send to factory to have reconditioned. I am proposing I use these wheels, have them send me a replacement wheel and then change it and send the bad one back. They don't seem to like that option. Am I out of line in my request? I don't want a refinished (although new) rim. Would almost rather keep the wheel with the blemish than take a chance on a refinished rim.

Very nice wheels indeed! Those are the same wheels that Oakley Design sell (only that they say "Oakley Design" rather than "Dymag")? I was quoted EUR 5'580 + VAT for a set from Oakley.

Awesome! Great looking wheels. I almost went that direction & had my car not been a NY Metro DD I would have. They are going to look gorgous on your car w/ all the CF that you have inside, etc. And the Titanium wheel bolts are perfect, you almost HAVE TO use those bolts on the those wheels. the devil is in the details. Cant wait to see pics. on your car.

Fantastic.. I deliberated over a set of these for a while but just couldn't justify the price in the end. Are they for road use or on the track? I'd be interested in hearing your impressions of how it drives with such a reduction in rotating mass / unsprung weight..

The representative said they can refinish wheels (at a cost) but I would advise just getting a new rim, carbon splinters/etc, very dangerous.

Duffy, Have you installed them yet? I'm anxious to hear what your thoughts are on the cars perfomance post dymag installation. Thats quite a weight saving. Are the tianium bolts part of the wheel package or were they ordered seperately?

Whats up with your new wheels?? Did they step up and send you a new wheel a.s.a.p. If not I'd send them all back and call it poor service. Kills me that you have to send it back to be fixed, talk about half ass. I'm waiting the out come of your story, because these are the same wheels I want to put on my car. If the story ends bad, I will move the Champion who also makes great wheels.

The titanium bolts were purchased directly from the manufacturer as I couldn't find any in this country. They do not come with the wheels. I bought the wheels because I liked their looks. Although I've owned over a dozen Porsches since my first in 1978 including 3 other turbos, I'm probably not a "sophisticated" enough driver to notice the performance difference from having less unsprung weight.

I just kept the wheels and didn't press the point. The defect is so small that I don't think anybody will ever notice. I don't even notice while washing the car unless looking specifically for it. Not sure what they would have done if I demanded a replacement wheel.
