Does anybody on this forum ever tip their salesman/manager when purchasing a car

    It does help

NEVER, NEVER DO THIS! It will cost the salesperson his/her job and your relationship with the dealer.

In our legal system (Germany) you could also be charged of bribery by the public prosecutor...

Of a private firm? That would never float here .

Re: Anyone placed an deposit for the F142 yet?

Well, a tip is not a problem of course, but over here a sum of 1,000-1,500 bucks would be a rather generous tip
The employee/manager of the dealership (not the client) could be charged of bribery if he offers "special conditions" (low service charges etc.) as a "return" to the client (adversely affecting the dealership's profit). And he could be fired of course.
As a supplier of the dealership offering kickbacks to the employees/procurement department in order to gain an advantege vs. competing suppliers it would be a different story again.

A client could be charged of bribery only in case of "dealings" with public bodies.

Not quite true, I think... Bribery is also a criminal offence if only private parties are involved. Just look at the Pooth case (which just comes to my mind).

    P.S.: Paragraph 299 Abs. 2 StGB

Yes! But I think there has to be a business/competition related aspect (which is not the case if you're just a private client of a car dealership). Pooth acted on behalf of his company (I guess). Also the Sparkasse may be a kind of public institution ? Anyway I'm not that familiar with German criminal law (and hopefully never will be ).
And as rennteam is an international community: what may be socially accepted in one country may be regarded as foul play or even illegal in another country - Andere Länder, andere Sitten

What motive should any car buyer have to give his sales person 1000 Euros? Easy answer: special treatment in the future, higher discounts etc. This is clearly bribery based on German law if any benefits will be granted to the buyer by this sales person in the future The problem is that a significant gift to the sales person incentivises him to cheat on his employer...
