    Fix the GTR! Try your hand with P-shop

    Something's corrupt with my photoshop - can't get blur to work so this is the best I can do.

    Anyway, the car looks less screwed up (goofy) and more like a Mitsubishi Lancer which is to be expected I guess.

    Got more skill and photoshop tools? Give it a try.

    Yeah but if Aston built a car with that kind of technological advances and speed, it would cost the same as a LP640...

    Below are pictures of the concept they debuted 6 years ago. Gorgeous!

    What the hell happened between then and now, I have no f*cking idea?!!

    But for all it's engineering genius, the stylers need to be dragged in the street and beaten with wet leather straps for ruining the design. I see some concepts that obviously can't be made production ready or are changed slightly from the concept but hold true to the orginal design ... but this here, the completely uglified it for no good reason when there was nothing about the concept that couldn't be made production ready - it wasn't an overly complex body design (Yes, I'm still pissed if you can't tell.)

    I'm not sure I would call the concept gorgeous but it is sure a lot more palatable than the production version (which is way too ugly for me to consider purchasing no matter how fantastic its performance). Life is too short to have to walk up to and away from an ugly car every day. I still can't fathom what Nissan was thinking. I know it will surely sell as the performance value probably can't be beat by any other current production car. It is a shame I was born with such exquisite taste!

    I am (half) seriously thinking of making a GTR my "winter beater," but I would simply order it all black to hide the hideous lines. Plus it would be driven only in winter-usually in the dark anyhow.

    Yup, sounds _not_ crazy. What's their corrosion warrenty look like? You get salt up there right? If corrosion warranty's way out, it's not so silly.

    It would still be a shame to see a hot car rusting to cr*p no matter who the mfgr is.

    You said it! Someday I'd love to find a "tell all" book on how Porsche (Nissan, Corvette etc) _really_ works on the inside. It would be great to hear about all the infighting, backstabbing and mud-slinging that goes on in development process which results in ruined cars. Maybe there's a little stupidity and compromise thrown in there too.

    BTW, where's that "popcorn eating" emoticon when you need it?
