Help on 997 GT2 set up

I've been thinking about buying a 997 GT2, and I would appreciate some opinions on its set up.

911 GT2

Pounds 130,017.00

Exterior colour Carrara White

Interior colour leather interior black, seats leather/Alcantara

Exterior Windscreen with grey top tint
ParkAssist
Side Skirts
Automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors with integrated rain sensor
Red taillights
Sport bucket seats
Cruise control
Seat belts in Guards Red
Rear centre consol in leather
Inner door-sill guards in leather
Interior light surround in leather
Outer door-sill guards in carbon
Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS)
Chrono Package Plus
BOSE(R) Surround Sound System
Factory collection

I've discarded installing Clubsport Package because I think rear cage will be noisy, any other idea?

Thank you buddie! I'll take some of them for granted... does anybody know if the rear cage is useful for inly a 20% of the use for trackdays?

You forgot sun visors in leather

and the tyre pressure monitoring system.

Regarding carbon options: IMHO they look nice, especially with the buckets (which have a CF foil on the back). However, stick with the standard steering wheel. The carbon steering wheel has too large and too thin at the same time, and Alcantara has more grip than CF and leather.

The tyre pressure is standard equipment, I presume, but I agree about steering wheel, I really like Alcantara although its life is shorter...

I just checked, and the TPM is indeed standard on the Turbo and GT2.

Alcantara doesn't last as long, but it can be replaced...

Anchorage points for cage and harnesses are standard so these can be fitted retrospectively if necessary.

Thanks Lancerlot, perhaps Clubsport can be mounted and the cage fitted or not according to that day's use? Do you think is easy? or even practical? I'll ask my dealer's suggestion...

It's a bolt-in system so it's possible but will not be a 5 minute job I suspect!

Hello Xavi,

Congrats on the marvelous car. Just an observation: On a white car with black interior, wouldn't red seat belts clash a little bit with yellow brakes? There are now 4 (5?) prominent colors for the car (black, white, yellow, red, and grey (?) for the Alcantara). Maybe yellow belts, if you must have color belts?

You are welcome; always a pleasure to help another Turbo addict spend $ on his beauty.

BTW, if you feel particular adventurous, your car's color combination, and the fact that it's a GT2, make me think this is the one time that yellow dials might work very well.

I've seen a black Turbo with similar treatments to yours: black leather, CF pieces, yellow brake, yellow belts, except that the dials are yellow as well. I've always thought Porsche yellow dials are "too much" until I see this car: The interior looks unusually gorgeous to my eyes and gave me second thoughts about my relatively bland beige.
