    the new Ruby Red on a 997

    looks great. Actually, it looks a bit like that F599 color. It's a lot better than arena red.

    Arena Red is the best color for a Porsche, 993 that is. Ruby Red seems very fitting for the 997.

    I was thinking the same exact thing. Ruby Red looks great but from the pics Stone Grey doesn't seem to go well with it.

    My dealer has a T4S in Ruby Red with Sand Beige interior. Looks the dog's boll*cks.

    Why? What's wrong with "traditional" colors which compliment the sculptural qualities of the car?

    This looks like a favorite color someone would get for their family minivan.

    No big deal: people should still get what they like and enjoy.

    Of course the city or region where you drive has something to do with it too. Red _Porsches_ in a small town would be a disaster, red in SoCal makes perfect sense.

    Thanks amazon for posting these pics!

    I was really looking forward to see ruby red on a real car and not in the configurator. I think it's a great color for the 911, not always the same as all those silver-grey-shades but yet decent enough and not as bright as red or yellow.
    But I think in reality it doesn't look as orangish as in the pics, also telling from the sample I've seen at my dealer...

    A fabulous colour, I've seen it on a new 911 at my dealer, unfortunately didn't have a camera with me. These photographs have ben taken in the showroom under artificial light and don't do the colour justice. For me, ruby red, sand beige leather with centre console in either leather or exterior colour.

    Beautiful color, although I agree with others that a cream or charcoal interior would suit it better...

    While I too want to see more than just silver, grey and black Porsches on the road, I'm afraid this colour just doesn't appeal to me

    Agreed Here's a photo of our cobalt Boxster awaiting collection at Porsche. A splash of colour amongst the sea of monochrome white, silver, grey and black.

    Actually I'm just jealous - there were at least three GT3s and a couple of turbos there

    It was a special day for us, too We were surrounded by turbo's and GT3'S that day so we were very much the poor relation
