I'm relaxed about it. We are all going to be outdated sooner or later.
Thousands and thousands of car guys could care less about small changes in Porsches.
Nobody cares, really; only you guys with cars on order. I even doubt a fellow Poreschephile _with_ the facelift is going to make us non-facelifted guys feel like cr*p while he somehow enjoys a better quality of car ownership.

Agreed - there will always be some kind of improvement just round the corner. I wouldn't sweat it - just relax and enjoy your fantastic new car
Having said all that, you're in Kuwait and I know exactly what it's like over there. You guys in the GCC countries absolutely HAVE to have the latest car, the latest mobile phone, the latest cologne, the latest watch etc etc... so I can imagine your pain

First of all the difference may be very slight. Hey it can't be more significant than the differences between the 996tt and 997tt and yet 996tt is still a hell of a car. Also if Ron is right you have a hell of an engine which the new Turbo might no longer have. Finally no matter what you buy something newer/different will come out sooner or later.
So enjoy and Porsche Turbos are legendry cars no matter what.
