If you go with a Lizard and gold, you’ll need to have several gold chains around your neck to finish the “look”.
I’ve spec’ed mine and it will be LG with satin black wheels plus the LG trim around the wheels. I also used the launch car interior. To me it is the best combination for this car. The only item I did not agree with was the PCCB’s.
You have your way. I have my way. As for the correct way and the only way, it does not exist.

C'mon, Nick...lizard and gold are perfect for a car like the GT3 RS.

LG trim around the wheels? My daughter likes that too.

You would be amazed on the number of compliments I receive regarding the GR trim around the wheels on my .2GT3. They add a different dimension to the look of the car especially with black wheels.

I made the configuration at the dealer . When safe for the moment . LG with satin black rims with the green trim .
I will have to see the car live in geneva next week and see if I change anything .
The '' gold'' rims are actually not gold. they are Aurum, which is more bronze . I like the color ......
Black with Aurum rims would be another great choice for me , just a bid '' dommage '' that it takes away on all the details of the RS . On a GT3 it would work perfectly .

Black with Aurum wheels on new GT3 Touring, in case you haven't seen it...

I think Harris got brighter more metallic wheels than Aurum. I think he got some other color through Exclusive...

And pray how are you going to exploit this on the La Jolla roads? Or have you gotten over your "what's the point of a GT car on the road" angst? Regardless, Congratulations and great choice of colour .

Carlos from Spain:DaveGordon:Yeah, the pic of Aurum wheels off the RS site is a lot less copper-y than those..
This color is so much better than the one in Harris' Toruing
I agree and I prefer even more the subtler tone of Gold used on the GT2RS Weissach package Magnesium wheels...

DaveGordon:Yeah, the WP wheels are lovely. Just don’t like the price
Should be possible to paint any wheels that color aftermarket for a reasonable amount...

Excellent point!
When I sold the .1GT3 because of the questionable utility of the car on public roads, I bought a 2017 Targa 4S. Beautiful car but it lacked the sound, rawness and excitement that the GT3 gave me. I decided to once again try the GT3 and bought the .2. I love the car despite the fact there are very few places for me to give it a spirited workout. I do work it out but my options are limited. However, even at lower speeds the car is a blast to drive. The RS will be a step above the GT3 and I owe it too myself to experience it. I recognize it will be less compliant on the road and more track focussed but it more than compensates for itself in appearance and performance.
I have come to understand, that not owning a raw exciting car is like missing an important ingredient for my happiness.

very good points. i fully agree, the RS is a lot of fun even at low speeds. you will enjoy the car!

. The key difference you will notice is that the handling on the GT3RS is just razor sharp. Truly the "cornering on rails" feel.

DaveGordon:Mine looks like that too.. accompanied by by the fan running flat-out..
3D-config Works great on Mac if you expand to full screen
Still not very impressive that the configurator doesn't work in standard mode and that they still use this old plug-in. It loads the cpu like crazy and fan run full speed

With full screen on my Mac I get a nice clear picture and in 3D mode. But I can't figure out how to save the picture from the full screen shot.
I did manage to save the painted interior trim which looks like this. I prefer the unpainted which is the same plastic(?) pieces on the LWB. That looks better.

I went back to the picture tried again and was able to save it. Now you can see the difference. The carbon (plastic) looks better.
