    Floor mats...

    ...for Winter time.

What do you think about them as addition to normal ones?

    Re: Floor mats...

    They look good to me

    Re: Floor mats...

I have a problem with them (of course ) for year-round use.

They look too utilitarian for use all year. Will show dirt and scuffs easily. Our cars are GT cars; they "should" have the luxury of short nap carpeting when it's clear and dry.

I mean we seem to be willing to pay lots for leather and "upscale" trim pieces like CF, etc. IOW, there's no denying the "luxury" aspect of these cars.

The other problem I have with these particular matts? The channels for melted snow (water) seem to allow that water to flow out and under into the carpeting; that suuuucks. They'll stay damp all season! Better to have a rubber "tray" (containment) aspect to winter matts.

    Re: Floor mats...

Are these offered by porsche and if so what is the price?

    Yes. Porsche Tequipment item...

Porsche Winter Rubber Mats(2pieces set-only front mats) code 987 044 800 93 for Coupes and 987 044 800 94 for Cabrios with BOSE system. Price Euro 60 in EU without local VAT.

    Re: Floor mats...

Oh, BTW I think they are a must.

    Re: Floor mats...

Those are the only nice. all weather mats I'ver seen.

I see from the pic. they make them for the Cabrio. too.

Will have to get a set.

    Re: Floor mats...

great,i will order a set too

    Re: Floor mats...

Isn't 987 in the order numbers for Boxsters? Are you sure that these will fit in the 997 Turbo? I currently have rubber mats from Weathertech but these look really nice. I'm checking to see if they'd indeed fit in the Turbo. If they do then I'm ordering a set.

Codes are directly from EU Tequipment Price List. Car on the picture is Turbo Cabrio.

Regarding codes... Code for normal floor mats with Nubuk leather is 987 044 800 01 xx(2pieces set) and 997 044 800 01 xx(4pieces set). See the difference? 987 codes at Tequipment means 2pieces set.

    Re: Floor mats...

Well, the 987 and 997 interiors are identical, except for the top half of the dashboard.. and, of course, the back area.

987 044 800 94 => all models with a BOSE subwoofer in the passenger footwell (Cayman, 997 Cab and Targa)

    987 044 800 93 => all other models (Boxster, 997 Coupé, Cayman w/o BOSE, 997 Cab/Targa w/o BOSE).

Attention RHD drivers, please note your part # will be different.

That is also true. New Winter floor mats are for all 997/987 models. Difference is just between versions for 997 Cabrio with BOSE system.

    Re: Floor mats...

I haven't heard back from my parts guy so I don't know how much these are here but the ones from Weathertech are $55 for two mats. I'm guessing that these ones from Porsche will cost much more.

    Re: Floor mats...

Euro 60 w/o VAT. If Porsche applies the usual Euro 1 = $1 rate, you're golden.

    If realistic rates are used...

    Re: Floor mats...

What do you know, the dealership had them in stock for $72. I got them.

That's not bad at all right?

Do they make them for the rear too, as a set of 4 or just the 2 fronts?

I could definitely see myself using them a lot, tossing them in anytime it rains. Hopefully they're the type that you can just throw on top on the carpeted mats? Hopefully they're more rubber than plastic, heavy enough to stay in place.

Jason - Please post some pics when you get them.

    Re: Floor mats...

I'll definitely do that Gregg. Did you notice the outline of the Porsche 911 shape in the design of the mats? And scroll up to one of Kreso F1's posts, he posted part numbers for the 4 mat set.

    Re: Floor mats...

Great addition. Good looking, practical, and not too expensive.

By the way, the black with sand carpets combo shown in the original post looks interesting (although probably not practical in the long run)...

Oh, I got confused when I saw Nabuck Leather. Cool so they come for the rear too, that's even more helpful for me w/ the kids.

Yeah the 911 shape in the mat is very cool looking. I noticed that too straight away.

    Re: Floor mats...

    To clarify:

The new rubber mats are only available in a 2 mat set. There is no 4 mat set.

The 4 mat set for which kreso posted part numbers are the good old standard floor mats, not the new rubber mats.

    Thanks!

    Re: Floor mats...

    You're welcome.

unless there is a 4 mat set in the pipes that the German Tequipment site still does not know about.

    Re: Floor mats...

Here are some quick snaps that Eric (Sunset Imports) took of the rubber mats for me. He'll be shipping it up to me when the front trunk mats arrive. I had my CD changer removed so I had to get the larger trunk mat.

    Jason,

I noticed you had a carpeted trunk mat. In my 997 S cab there wasn't any mat. On my Turbo Cab I ordered Leather edged mats. Do you think I will get a trunk mat in my Turbo Cab? If so will it be leather edged?

Why did you remove your CD changer? I actually left that option off my specs because I didn't use it once in my 997 S cab. and figured I could use the space.....Did you happen to notice was it more than a pound or 2?

    Re: Floor mats...

Are these available on the US site?

    Re: Floor mats...

US site? What do you mean by that?

I ordered mine from Sunset Porsche in Oregon.

They're not on the US site yet - but if you speak German, you can order them from the German site.

It's definitely cheaper to call your dealer, though.

    Re: Floor mats...

I do speak German, and I did order from my dealer, thanks.

    Re: Floor mats...

This is a bit off topic but here are some photos of mats I ordered from autosupermart. Their made from German Velour (similiar to the stock material and match up well with the rest of the interiors carpet. I ordered 4 mats (the front embroidered red "PORSCHE" and also ordered a rear shelf mat (behind the seats and a front trunk mat (I sent in my stock bottom cover in the front trunk so they could copy it and drew a diagram with the dimensions of the rear cargo area). Both of those were embroidered in red also. Very happy with the color match. It ran $400 plus some change for the entire set. The small mats behind the rear seats I left plain black (too many Porsche logos).
