    997tt , question!!!

I can order a 997tt now for recive the car in Feb 08' , or wait for the changes for 997tt face lift, FSI and etc... for 997tt model 2009?
Wich is the best choice, order now or order in Oct 08', for recive in 2009?
and if the 997tt will change for 2009, What's hapend with 997GT2 and 997tt cab?
    thanks

    Re: 997tt , question!!!

    The sooner the better.

No one knows for sure when the "facelift" will happen or when new features will be added. Porsche will follow it's schedule, but you may wait 2~ years before seeing it.

    Re: 997tt , question!!!

Dude, you and about a thousand people are asking the same question - me included.

Since I'm in the same boat, I'll share some of my thoughts:

Get it now (or Feb) cos:
1.) You get to drive it sooner.
2.) The current model is highly likely to be better sorted.
3.) Tuning and aftermarket parts are available for the current model.
4.) It's all rumours at the moment, so you could be waiting half a year for +5hp and some new lights for all we know.
5.) The whole "There's always something better around the corner" thing. By the time MY09 comes out, the 998 is prolly just around the corner.
6.) How much does the (possible) extra hp matter to you?
7.) Even though PDK _might_ come as an option, would you want it? In other words, if you're going to buy manual anyway, does it really matter?

    Wait cos:
1.) Money isn't exactly burning a hole in your pocket right now.
2.) You really, really dig the face-lift.
3.) Porsche are generally good, so the new one is not likely to be any worse.
4.) PDK should be worth the wait - providing it's not too expensive and unreliable.
5.) You'll never have to say to yourself - "If only I waited" should the face-lifted one turns out to be really, really good.
6.) By the time the face lift comes out, if it turns out to be a bit of a dud, you should still be able to get the pre-update model at a good price.
7.) There's likely to be a power increase. IMO, it'd be silly if they don't carry something over from the GT2 engine. I'm not talking about the same power, but perhaps close.

Well, I've chosen to wait. Mainly because I don't really have the pressing need to spend my money and I'm going through quite a lot at the moment life-wise. Plus, I'm a big fan of DSG and similar systems so hopefully they'll put it in. Anyway hope this has helped.

    Re: 997tt , question!!!

Keep in mind no matter what you buy there will be changes ahead. With that in mind I don't put my life on hold and act spontaneously

After I have seen the facelifed turbo pics, I just love it, so I will wait for the 2009 model year.

I think you need to check it out too, if you like that you should wait.

I'm glad you see this as a viable plan.

Economic stability for at least another year would definitely be good!

    Re: 997tt , question!!!

I'd wait for the 999TTTT. It's gonna be a flat 8 with 4 giant turbos making 1200 HP at the wheels. Should be out in oh about 2025. Get your order down now!
