    This one was an order that went horribly wrong; the new owner was extremely upset that this mistake was made (he didn't want leather). Rather than give his deposit back, the dlr felt so bad they gave him the car. He also got an official laminated letter of apology and free gas for life from Porsche:

    Given enough options many people can totally screw up a turbo. This is where a dealer's sales staff needs to have a discussion with the buyer.

    I noticed that dealer (or a customer of that dealer's) has the odd habit of ordering a new über-loaded 997 C4S in flashy colors every 4 months. That bright deviating stitching inside looks like a bad LSD trip.

    I for one preferred his latest Azurro California car:
    (although he got the deviated stitching on the CF shifter wrong )

    Why bother painting the inner parts of the spokes white? They'll be standard " grey " from brake dust after the first mile .

    I think it's not too bad, especially in the second pic, and combines well with the white. Far from being in the same league as that purple monstrosity in any case.

    Surely it's a photoshop of the Macassar wood option becaue there is absolutely no way that colour is on the options list and and deviated stitching is not to sample.

    The purple interior is indeed a Photoshop, but it's based on Sycamore trim.

    The only deviated stitching 997's that look good imho are the white on blue & silver on black. I've yet to see another color stitch that looks good in Porsche's. In Ferrari's Red & Yellow stitch works really well but for whatever reason they just don't work in 997's. Not sure if it's the less than black color on the black 997 interiors or the amount & placement of the stitching but it just doesn't work.

    It looks good in Ferrari's but for whatever reason I just don't like the way it looks in 997's. The dark grey stitch that comes stock w/ Black looks the best.

    No they're not. But they are a no-cost option. Black dials are standard only on the C2 and C4.

    White painted stock wheels = a detailing nightmare (especially with the constant steel brake dust)!
