I promised I would not be negative toward Porsche so my comments have been moderated substantially.
I believe it would be a waste of talent for Farina or any other creative automobile stylist to work for Porsche. As the NY times article pointed out and the term I used less than a week ago, Porsche car designs are glacial in change. Up until now, Porsche has been successful with that approach. It will remain to be seen whether future buyer's will be as mesmerized by subtle or retro changes especially with the prices being charged for their cars.
If I am going to pay a lot of money to trade my car for another in the same line it better be considerably different in appearance. The fact it will shave .2 sec. or one sec. in performance just does not resonate with cost concious car buyer's today. There are just too many good looking and performing cars out their.
