    2008 Corvette C6

    This is the new '08 C6 (not Z06) based on the description it gets 30 more HP (430 for '08 LS3 engine) and many interior options. The good news is that the price has stayed the same.

    interior looks better but still cheap, just like the plastic engine cover...

    Thanks for the pics, but...

    what are the differences in the interior? Painted center console? Not sure about the storage space in the passengerdoor, looks different for me as well but I am not sure if my memory serves me right.

    Ugliest engine compartment of any high end sports car has to be the Porsche 911 , bar none, whose engine compartment consists of a cheap plastic air box and some hoses and fluid tanks- that's it. ( ironically , the air box in the 997 is now dressed up in a " cheap way " to look like those beauty covers you allude to on cars like a Corvette, MBZ, Lexus etc. ). Don't even ask a Boxster or Cayman owner to " show off " their motor - it would take half an hour to remove the trunk carpet to see it ! The only time I open the engine cover on my Turbo is to top off the oil . I don't think I've ever spent more than a few seconds gazing at the motor even when new - most "attractive" item is the blue coolant bottle cap.
    Compare to the view in a Ferrari or Lambo or Audi A8 engine compartment.

    Yeah, what's funny is I wanted to like the 2007 car, went to see one, _sat_in_it_, was underwhelmed by the "quality" and screamed, "eeeeeewwwwwwwwww."

    We're sooooo spoiled by the nice Porsche interors.

    That Bugatti motor looks more like the generators inside of the Hoover Dam !

    There are two optional uprated leather wrappped interiors or the MY2008 Corvette, black and cigar brown and black and linen.

    Next they need to put the Tach in the center and the ignition on the left.

    Hmmm. The Hoover Dam's hardware looks low-budget compared to the Veyron's.

    On the other hand, the Hoover Dam prolly didn't cost much more in 1930s (?) dollars than the Veyron costs today.

    The bugatti looks like something from star trek, very nice. The vettes plastic is light weight which is a plus. I kinda like this one made by porsche;
