May production question

I am being told by a dealer that they can still change a car that is scheduled for May production, and I can get exactly what I want. Anyone know if this is accurate? I don't want to lock in and then be told it has been postponed..(no PCCB; I am aware of that issue)

All I can tell you is that I made a build change to a May 21 build which changed the completion date to May 29. This of cource is according to my dealer. I made the change mid March. Just more waiting, which sucks

I can tell you that your car may or may not get bumped. I ordered my car in May of last year set to be built on Aug 1st. I made changes to my order in mid-June and as a result my car got bumped to October 26th. I was definitely not a happy camper but nothing could be done. In the end my car was completed on Sept 16th and I took delivery on November 4th. Lesson learned, there's always a possibility that cars scheduled for production can be bumped.

I have a 5/9 production date and was informed by my dealer last week that the order is locked - no changes allowed. This was confirmed with management at Porsche North America (I believe in Georgia), as I wanted to get the blacked out wheel option. No OEM option available for caps/rims to color and thats all she wrote. The general manager at my dealership also said there is no PCCB delay for my car. We shall see....

I hope you GM is right about the PCCB's. My car is production now and i'm getting a little nervous that it's not completed. We're in the 3rd week of "in production".

However, with Porsche's archaic system PCNA has no data until it's "pushed" from PAG so who knows, I could get a call tomorrow that it's on a boat.

For the amount of money you are looking to spend I would get exactly what I want. Even if it is delayed.

What dealership ? I'm getting mine from Roslyn Porsche and dealing with Tony Carbone. Tony, to date, has been a straightshooter.

Getting mine out of state - Porsche of N. Olmstead in Cleveland. They've been great and very communicative.
