    I wonder about safety though: when you break a CF part, it splinters, all kinds of needle-like threads will be sticking out of the demolished part... Does anybody know how that is covered in the very tough safety regulations nowadays? (Not only talking about the doorsills, but all kind of interior parts of CFRP...

    I betcha there's something like a flexible plastic laminate (like windshields have) installed on critical areas so splintering will be less injurious? Just blabbing... .
