Passenger Seat Vibration
Hello,
Took the 997 out for a nice spirited 180 mile trip through the hills, and for some reason, the car (only 15K now on it) seems to be running a bit "rough" - perfect weather conditions, not too hot or cold. Just had the 2 year service on it about 1 month ago, even though it had not reached 20K miles. One thing that I had not noticed before while sitting at a train crossing was that the passenger seat vibrates like crazy at idle. I mean, it's really moving more than I think it should, so this got me thinking, is it possible I may have worn out engine mount(s) already, even if they were not detected in the 2 year service. I presume, like most modern cars, you cannot visually inspect these...are they filled with gel perhaps?
Anyone else with a similar experience or do all 997's vibrate like this? I'm thinking of going to the dealership on Monday to sit in some other cars and see if they are similar. Thank you.
