Get both.
Or if that's a tad too expensive, get a Cayenne S and a Carrera S. And if you really have to decide between the two, get the Turbo.
(kids fit in the rear seats rather well and if your friends are really good friends, they won't complain either to sit in the back

Do what I did and get both
But seriously. The CTT is an immense car. If it has to be one for the family the CTT will do the job very well.
Incredibly fast and safe. 997tt is good that you can get small kids in the back but its not nearly so all round useful IMO
Get her an S-Max Ford and have the 'tt' for yourself?

Get both of course, my wife was driving an 04 S and I've had the TT at the same time, until she decided we need more space/3rd row, hence the Q7. but the cayenne S was a great and solid car except for some electrical grimlings probably resolved by now. Go for both if you can, no question
