In Long Beach: Class Auto Center, 562 595 6400. First class shop, wonderful service, used by Circle Porsche.
NB: The shop has a terrible slope at entrance. Be careful not to scrape your car's front lip! Go in at a really obtuse angle.

The UNDISPUTED BEST painter in the Los Angeles area for Porsches is Bill at Coachcraft in Fillmore, CA The next best a guy named "Junior" a far distant second. It may be a long drive or he may not even have the time to work on your car but if he paints a part on your Porsche nobody and I mean nobody will be able to tell that the factory did not paint it. The trip to his shop is worth the drive just to see the show cars that he is always working on. I'm not saying this because he is a friend or I'm getting a comission I just have observed his work over the last 40+ years i have been driving Porsches.

Just go to Golden Hammer on Bultler in West LA. Every Porsche I've ever owned has been repaired there for one reason or another. They do a really good job. My only criticism is that they have a tendency to scratch your car when fixing it (happened to me and a friend). But not a problem, they will also take care of their own messes and it'll look brand new afterwards.
