    Thinking about one of these.

    I fancy a GT3 or a Turbo. But look at the performance of this for half the price of a GT3. I'm tempted.

    Anything can be made to go stinking fast, even a tin-can Subie.... If that's your main motivation, then I don't know why you'd buy a Porsche anyhow...

    I'm criticizing, just making the case that you're considering apples vs. oranges, so it's a bit irrelevant...

    Take it further. For a 1/3rd the price of that Subie, you could build a crate-motor Pinto with some trick chassis upgrades that would send the Subaru packing with its tail between its legs...

    Go for it. Good for getting somewhere without attracting attention. Get rid of that f'ed wing though. Kinda ruins the "unnoticed" effect.

    Why go around unnoticed? I do alot of passing on rural highways; I get the feeling people are calling the cops on their cell phones because the car's a Porsche.

    I know that car is bad ass fast but, it looks like a cheap car. Like a Honda civic or coralla..JMO..

    I stayed away from porsches for a few years. I wasn't a fan of the 996 or the boxter. I preferred the aircooled variety porsches and still drive a 1985 911. However, the car I enjoyed driving the most until I purchased a 07 GT3 was the Lancer Evolution 8. These rally cars are truly drivers cars and offer race derived technology for a reasonable price. I frequently put other racebred cars in their place especially in the wet. I never cared for the prestige factor of a car. I just enjoy driving capable performance cars. I would certainly drive a STI or Evo again.

    Superficially speaking you are correct sir. But..., ahem..., "on the track" you want them all to be wild.

    If you want a street version of a WRC car, then by all means purchase it. But do not confuse it with a GT3.

    Somme people would say that you commit a sacriledge! In fact the Evolution is a fantastic car 8 or 9. The subaru is also hurrendus but they are totaly different than a porsche. O.k they handle well especialy in the wet but they feel heavier and look a lot like a taxi... Mind you you can still paint it in yellow and make some cash on the way to the office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
