    Porsche Minivan Spotted Testing Near Beverly Hills

    Fritz, the irony of it all is that Porsche almost did a minivan deal with Nissan in the late 80's. Yes, there was almost a Porsche badged Nissan van.

    Porsche ran out of money to execute that project and the same for a new joint VW Porsche sports car they had in development then.

    The Porsche "Varrera" is a minivan and it's already in the prototype phaze. As Porsche continues to try to be more aggressive in other markets, it will continue to produce prototypes like this one and the C-88. Porsche plans on introducing a new model every year through the year 2000. Obviously the "Boxster" is just the beginning. If the Varrera is any indication of things to come we might actually see the first mass produce non-sports car from Porsche very soon.
