Pics of terracotta 2 tone interior?

I get to spec my TT next month for October delivery in my home town of Sydney, Australia. I'm thinking about Meteor with a terracotta and black 2 tone interior, but I'm not sure the configurator gives a realistic colour for the terracotta. Can anybody direct me to some interior shots of a similarly spec'd car? Otherwise I'll go for all black including PCM, but I just feel I'd like to do something a little more individual with my car.

I'm envious when I see the prices paid in the US for base cars and options. Thanks to import duties and a 25% luxury car tax, the base 997TT is US$270 in Australia, and a few options brings it up to a lazy 300 G's!

This board makes for great reading! I've managed to refine and fine tune my options list thanks to all the interesting and informative posts. Many thanks to all!

I friggin' loooove the black front and rear center console! IMO, it's great that it hides the switches. Niiice choice.

Thats possibly the best looking 997 interior I have seen... The black stereo console looks really good in combination with the black centre console!!!!

Only gripe is the steering wheel, the thicker sports steering wheel would have been the final masterstroke.

Nice ride though

Hey Red 430, thanks so much for posting your pic. VERY interesting to see this, I especially like the black on the centre console, PCM and deviating carpet. I was considering terracotta leather for the PCM but your spec is great! Total terracotta was a little overwhelming for my taste and I was at a bit of a loss to know how to tone it down a little but you've hit the nail on the head IMHO!! Now I can take this to my dealer and show him what I'm talking about (I didn't really understand it myself until I saw your photo). What did you go for your exterior colour?

I was originally disheartened by an 8 month wait for my ultimate car, but the opportunity to research the fine detail over time more than makes up for it! Thanks to all for your help!!

Holy s**t that is awesome!! The black PCM and deviated carpets make all the difference. I've always thought the terracotta needed more black and you've nailed it!! wonder what it would have looked like with leather switch panel or CF switch panel?

It actually does have the thicker wheel. In addition, and I don't have a shot, the seat backs are also painted black and look awesome as well.

On your painted seatbacks, is the side airbag cover also black as well?

I think Red430's interior is incredible! That's the best application of painted a center console I have seen so far. I would think painting the seat backs (for Adaptives) would be the way to go.

No they are terracotta inserts. I suppose you could inquire about swapping them out.
