He's going with a yellow tach

hang in there Mike...I'm just working out how to post pics!

good to hear from you Atomic 80 - your help on my TT invaluable!! Have gone for yellow rev counter....I hope not too much of a yellow theme though!!

You made a great choice going with the options for your F430. It's going to be a stunning car when you get it!

Should be posting pics in April/May - if I am able to sleep in the next 3 months!

    Re: CCM brakes on F430

    Sounds nice.

Had CCM's on my CS and now on my 430 and can't stress enough how important they are to get. I wouldn't own a Ferrari without them.

Almost feel as strongly about not putting holes in the bumpers on a work of art. Wouldn't own a Ferrari w/ them.

Gregg, understand about the holes in the bumper and I really struggled with this decision but my experience with the 997TT is that the sensor on the rear has been invaluable in Portugal. And I think on the darker colour they shouldn't show too much...I hope!

When the car arrives I'll post some pics on the holes and hope that it doesn't distract too much from the beautiful styling

You still could leave out the sensors at the front. At the rear they are hardly visible and IMO the rear sensors are more important than the front ones.

    Rossi,

After looking at the pics you posted of the sensors I agree they don't look the best but they are fairly well hidden and it beats scraping the front on Portugal's famous high kerbs when parking straight on. The kerbs here vary in height with no real rules as to when they are high or low!

I intend to really use the car and tour in Spain and Portugal so the sensors should "save" me from the different environments.

I placed the order, paid the deposit and got a delivery date....now all I have to do is sleep properly becasue the wait is going to kill me!!

You guys are right, the wait is torture. But just think of the wait for guys in the US....It's not so bad when you have a Ferrari and you're waiting for your next car to be built but I remember waiting for my first Ferrari, it felt like time stood still. On my first car I was lucky and only had to wait 10 months on the wait list before building the car in May 2004 and waiting another 4 months, taking delivery September 2004. Some guys here have waited 3-4 years and still haven't gotten a car. But the hardest part was the wait from May to September once I had already given my specs. That was my Challenge Stradale. For the F430 I spec.'d out the car in May 2006 and took delivery September 2006 but visited the Ferrari factory in July, that visit seemed to make the wait time go much quicker. .

    Re: CCM brakes on F430

I remember your lovely photos Gregg of your Maranello trip. I think if I visited the factory and then came back to continue waiting yet longer, I would suffer even more!!

    Re: CCM brakes on F430

Gregg, do you mind sharing those pictures of your factory visit? I never saw them. I might be a potential Ferrari buyer in a few years time when I've moved on from Porsche (god forbid).

A sophisticated Ferrari buyer will never give up on their Porsche (they can appreciate both for their realive strengths), and they will put 3M clear bra on it to protect too!

this is my first one...its been 2 days and no matter how I look at the calender it still seems an eternity!

    Re: CCM brakes on F430

if you have some extra cash to spend , the CF steering wheel and paddles are gorgeous.. other than that your order is perfect... good luck with the wait..

Allow me to rephrase what I just said.

I might be a potential Ferrari buyer in the near future when I buy my first Ferrari to complement my Porsche.
