Spec for my F430, help needed

    Hi All,

Finalising my spec for an F1 coupe for march delivery. I would be grateful for input re items I should add, or comments on your experience with a car of similar spec. I am thinking mine is a little under-specced.

    Rossa Corsa with Nero Leather
    Daytona seats
    electric seats
    Leather headliner
    Leather rear bench
    Navigation+bluetooth
    IPOD connection
    Yellow calipers
    Scuderia shields
    Red stitching, standard thickness

I did not opt for parking sensors as I did not like the look of the sensors on the bumpers. Is this wise?

    Thanks

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

no sports car should have parking sensors

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

    Specs sound fine to me!

Specs sound like the typical Ferrari V8 standard specs. Rosso-nero, red stitching, SF-shields.

Personally I'm not a fan of the Daytona seat design (doesn't look that good to me, especially with a deviating stitching colour) and the electrical seat adjustment (I really don't need it), but these two may be important if you are from the States, as Daytona and electric seats are very common there.
Leather headliner looks fine, if you get the rear bench in leather as well, just have in mind that your door sills will also be covered in leather. Some don't like that (for example me ).
Bluetooth comes with the Navigation now I think and are as well as IPOD surely the right options.
I'd think about the yellow calipers again. Most buyers take the red calipers (I prefer standard black BTW) and yellow only at a yellow or blue car. OTOH yellow is a little bit special and differs from the "red caliper crowd".
CCM brakes are very expensive but great and together with TPMS the only things I also would consider.

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

Didn't see the caliper part. Red with yellow calipers do look a bit odd IMO.

I would spec the car with Sports Seats if it had CCM's

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

look.. The only thing i like most of my car is the ccm brakes.. I have calipers in rosso scuderia though like my car.
I also agree that the red stiching is not so nice with the daytona seats... (It has too much red)
I have tha standart black seats in my car with red stiching and now i ordered the racing seats as well.. (I am also thinking of placing the carbon wheel too) I also have bluetooth (which i never use) the extra hifi system (which i never use as i prefer hearing the sound of my car) electric seats (which I never use as I am the only guy who drives the car) back parking assist (which I use and i am glad i bought this extra) and carbon parts in console and in doors which i love. Also I believe the navi doesnt worth its money, neither tha ipod connection (as the new becker systems takes a 4gb SD card full of mp3 if you want...in version of bluetooth or navi though ONLY)
Finaly I totaly agree with the scuderia shields and with leather parts back and in head.
My car is a spider though and i have only in back full leather, but they made me a discount and didnt place leather in doors also as I had the carbon extra in console and on door sides...

    I hope I helped you a bit..

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

I too never use the bluetooh nor navigation in my car. Too complicated, would rather spend $20 and buy a map.

... or get the new Becker Ferrari style portable Navigation system for a third of the price of the Ferrari unit.

    Take a look at this.

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

    Is that Ferrari enough?

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

So when you've decided, tell us about the new specs then!

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

Lol what is this... I see it for my first time Rossi...
To tell you the truth the problem with this is that it is TOO Ferrari for me...

    Really?

To answer your questions: this is the Ferrari special edition of Becker's traffic assist navi system. I don't remember the exact price, but it is more expensive than the standard version (of course).
Pic one shows the navi system in operation, whereas pic two shows the start up screen with the dials of the F430. I have never seen this thing in person, but this this info should be accurate.

Anyway, if it had the Ferrari writing but was black instead of red, it would be worth a thought.

    Polished wheels?

Front air duct color coordination with chassis?

    Dual colored steering wheel?

    Challenge grill in the back?

    Carbon fiber center console/door jams.

The above items you should consider based on your preference. I also agree that Yellow calipers with red exterior may not look as good as red calipers or black. If your not getting carbon brakes you do not want the smaller calipers in yellow because they be very noticeable and will look puny.

They look great on the 430. As a matter of fact, putting them on the 360 would only enhance the appearance of the car.

BTW for those not in the know, polished wheels are not very shiny but have more brightness than the original wheels.

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

    Why not?

Re: Spec for my F430, help needed

I am tempted to try polished wheels. Not too shiny and may work well. Has anybody seen them on a 430?.

I do not have the front air duct color coordination with chassis option. Would love to see what this will look like.

Saw them on a 430 in Monte Carlo, it looked okay IMO. Still a bit ricer-ish.

Well, I know them and they are still too shiny for me.

    But to each his own.

I haven't seen the coloured air ducts from Ferrari yet, but Novitec paints the front bumper as well, so I guess the Ferrari version will look similar (car on the right, left car has special Novitec front):

You probably could see them at your dealership service area. Several 430's have them including mine and apparently are growing in popularity. They cost about $1700.
