    Few issues - almost killed me on a straight road on the motorway while doing 70mph and 8000rpm in second - threw a fit and lurched towards the central barrier, just caught it!

    Also had something I cant say right now and a few other serious issues! May get my Boxster back!

    I'm sorry to hear this car was a disappointment. It's always a risk with second-hand cars.

    Steve, that is so terrible! I can only imagine how you have been living up to these days... Too bad man, I feelfor you, but luckily you're ok. Hope you'll find a suitable replacement.

    Various problems I better not go into, needless to say if I knew about them before buying I would not have bought the car!

    Dealer did the right thing and bought the car back and is paying for my expenses.

    I'm very sorry for you Steve !! , we can always get good things from bad things, at least you are getting again your boxster , more time to dream about the change, if you wait some months prices could drop slightly !!...

    Anyway we never know in what condition ,second hand cars are, except if they come from a friend or a relative !!!

    I'm sorry to hear about this Steve. I was looking forward to many stunning pictures of the GT3
    But now you can save up for a 997 GT3, it does at least have Traction Control

    Would also love to hear what happened one day..

    To be honest this whole thing has made me realise just what an excellent car my 987 Boxster is! Quite unbelieveable how much fun I've had in the car.

    I think I'm going to keep the Boxster for a while, learn how to drive better then think about a 997 later on or even a 987 3.4.

    Quite fancy a GT Silver/ Black 3.4 987 but that's a different story...

    the 987 series are AMAZING, may be they are much fun factor than a 997

    It's a looonnnggg story too!

    On PCGB site too!

    Basically car was ex-hire car, had major accident repair and had very peculiar handling characteristics in a straight line.Porsche dealer took the car was when rejected and gave me compensation+Box back. Glad to be back in my lovely Boxster
