You are probably right, maybe 500HP for the S8 and a RS8 with 600HP later on. And now the RS6 too with 500HP+? this is getting ridiculous.

My Audi tech told me today that Audi wants to go away from turbo charged engines. One reason is the fact that a lot of customers mod their cars for more power and apparently they have problems to track down these modified cars in case of warranty repairs. Another reason seems to be reliability and of course...cost.

I think you're right about Audi and turbos, RC (that's why the new S4 is a NA V8 instead of TTV6) - I wonder why BMW is going to start turbocharging its new models...

Interesting, MB also dropped the supercharging they always used in in their smaller AMG models, the CLK55AMG, SLK55AMG and C55AMG get a n/a V8.

Heard the same about Audi - no more turbo charging any longer. When DC abandons charging as well and BMW will pick it up again (first time after the 745i), they seem to be the only one heading in that direction. Looks like they always want to be different, just to be different and without any need (design, engine...)
