    Insurance with track day cover???

    Remember reading a few months back in EVO a UK insuance company that included UK track events as part of their cover.... Can anyone remember who this was or recomend anyone else who does this???

    Its obviously insurance time for me, and although my boxster is not strictly a track car its a lot of fun chucking it around a track and I'd like to do some more of that next year... So far Ive insured it for each individual day which is a little pricy....

    Any help appreciated... Obviously UK insurers please guys!

    Just got a good quote for them and will be using them in Jan!

    Here in Denmark u can use your regular insurance on track, as long as you dont race the car (against others) or do time trials.
    Maybe it's the same in the UK?

    I recently chose between A.Manning and Porsche Insurance themselves, both of which cover track days....

    ...in the end I went with the Porsche Insurance.

    Looked at your thread - what a high excess. I got quoted slightly less premium wise for my gt3 but the A Manning excess with Cornhill was only 500! I am taking it as 2 trackdays wont be enough for me with the Porsche insurance. Funny how these things work sometimes isnt it!

    In the US just check with your company. Most cover track days as they are considered Driver Education. As long as the day involves no competition or timing in any way, most street insurance companies will cover you.

    Just called Manning.... Unfortunatly their cover needs either a Garage which I dont have or a Tracker which I also dont have!!!! Feck!

    Porsche Insurance wanted Pounds3000 which is 3 times my best non trackday insurance quote!

    I suppose another option would be to add the tracker... How much will one of those set my back?

    Someone does it in addition to your normal insurance - "competition cover" or something like that!
