Mine is built week 14 but we will see about the review. After two Turbo S the coming car is a.....diesel!!! So in order not to be totally trashed on this forum I might scip the review

Oh come on, that 4.0L V8 TT diesel is still a beast of an engine!

The Panamera is not popular period. It is expensive and albeit more sporty than the completion, not enough to be in a whole other class, and practicality is limited...

I see the one from my Porsche dealership almost every day when I drive home from my business. The chalk colored one. Looks amazing in my opinion, the rear looks very fresh, the front is not that modern but still acceptable. Still, it looks a bit weird for such a large sedan, it attracts a lot of attention (probably what owners want).

"Expensive" depends on your view and your car needs. One could easily argue that a 911 is too expensive for what use you get out of it. In the U.S., A new Panamera 4S is $9000 cheaper than a 9114S, and you get much more room, practicality, luxury, technology, and almost the same performance. So which one is more "expensive"?

Audi "threw out" their last S8 (around 1000 cars) for 699 EUR a month, 24 months, 15k km per year, no down payment and VAT included.

The old S8 is not much worse than the current Panamera Turbo...

I know that this comparison may stink but I think that the Panamera got too expensive over time and I'm not sure customers are willing to pay these prices. Time will tell, especially when the new Cayenne shows up.

Have you driven a V12 Ferrari? The old gen Panamera turbo felt like a S class compared to it. Bland, disconnected and muted sound.

F12...almost got myself one (almost bought one, customer didn't pick it up, dealer wanted to get rid of it, don't remember the price anymore but it was somewhere around 230 or 240k for a quite well optioned car) but wife was against it. Very nice sound, very sporty ride but I cannot say that my Panamera Turbo S felt much less sporty. It definitely felt much heavier though and yes, the exhaust sound was OK but nothing to write home about (Panamera).

From a subjective point of view. my R8 V10 Plus is worth around 40% more than a 911 Turbo S. I'm not kidding. Emotionally, there is no comparison. Ferrari? Well, same thing...I guess. The engine/exhaust sound is half of the fun or at least 40%. Smiley

And, once again.... From a planed delivery in December my car was rescheduled to be built in week 14 (this week) due to software problems (that's what I was told), but today, when I visited my dealer he looked in his computer and saw that the built was moved to week 18! angel mail

What the hell am I supposed to do with a diesel Panamera in the middle of the summer??? Enyone interested? Fully equiped and can be yours for only €200k.... smiley

Thanks, but no Audi for me. I bought a used A6 for my daughter, but all R8 discussions on this forum has convinced me that I am too much a man for an Audi. Let the 18 year old girls and some German men without chest hair stick to Audi.... Smiley Smiley And as a Porsche freak, I'm used to waiting.... For the next last,next faster,"ordinary" diesel or whatever.. Smiley
