    Recived PZero tires on my 997S

    I receved my 997 S with Pzero tires. I have heard som much good about the Michellin and bad about Pzero.

    Are the PZero tires better in some aspects? Or Should I just be sad for them?

    well i have the pzeros and honestly i have no problems at all with them road noise is not to high the handling is great not sure about the treadlife because i only have 1300km on them.......on the plus side they do have the cool red writting on them.

    left this message on another board. i had problems with my P Z's, they developed flat spots. the dealer replaced them at 2800 miles, but they admitted that the problem would probably return as i do not drive my car daily. my independent tire dealer said both P & M's would do the same thing if they sit.

    Sterio - Just consider the P Zero's your break-in tires. You are supposed to drive the car gently for the first few thousand miles anyways, so the better handling limits of the Michelins will not be missed. The Pirellis are just as good unless you are driving very hard, so just take some time to learn the car with these tires. By the time you are done with the Pirellis (less than a year if you drive much), you'll be ready for the Michelins (and maybe even the new Michelin Sport tires as optional on 997TT and GT3)

    I got P zeros too. No big deal. I will drive them into the ground as fast as I can and replace them with something else.

    I have had them twice and currently have them on my 997S. Gr8 tires, handle and break like no others but after 4000 miles you will see the signs of wear and tear on them, very very obvious signs indeed

    For some reasons, when I was using p zeros for my 996, i had to change my tires quite often. They didn't seem to last as long as the conti's

    13k so far. Tire dealer says about another 5 to 6 max, but they do handle well!

    I have no problem with my PZero's and love the look of the PZero coloured red on the sidewall...matches the brake calipers.

    I had some trouble with flatspotting as noted above when the car sat a few weeks. This will likely be a problem with other brands as well since the tires are so low profile. The problem goes away after a few minutes of drivin.

    had the pzros and now have ps2. the pzeros had great grip we or dry and better wear than the ps2. the ps2 is overall better expecially with turn in feel. enjoy the pzeros and then look at you options when when they wear out. congrats on the car.

    I'm on my second set of Pirelli already and they're great.
    Had Michelin SP2 on the 996, they're equally good. What they lose in wet handling, they gain in performance on the dry and less road noise.
    Stick to both brands, you can't go wrong.

    I have PZero, and had no problem so far with them, the grip is gr8 and the noise can't even be felt (with the engin on !) I have 5000km on the car now.
    advice enjoy them to the ground and stick with P or M PS2 they are both good..

    Flat spots can be eliminated mostly by a tire cradle. These prevent flat spots on most tires.

    I too have the P-ZERO'S on my new C2S that arrived April.

    my back pzeros are showing considerable wear at 4k..
    Fronts are still ok, gonna replace with the Michelin sports.. I cant wait to change, but want to burn off as much rubber as possible on these ones..With the car lowered..H & R Springs, corners awesome , but bye bye tread

    ...on the other hand, Porsche conveniently designed this car so that you never have to put up with a poor tire design for very long! Drive them hard, see how they perform, and then try the Michelins. Do the same there.
