The second car and unexpected by many sources at this point is the 997-based GT2. With standard PCCB ceramic composite brakes from the 605-hp Carrera GT, the wider rear flares of the Carrera 4/Turbo range, and intercooler ducts in its rear fenders, it is unmistakably the next GT2. The rear wing top on this test mule is similar to those found on previous GT2s and may be exchanged for a newer design, but the lower, vented wing-base looks production-ready. The front bumper is new and simpler than the 997 Turbo's and the rear bumper vents remain hidden on this car. Expect the GT2's horsepower to be at least 520 when it's announced later this year, with the possibility of as much as 550 or more on the table. Top speed should exceed 200 mph, a first for production-line 911s.

I don't know about Singapore but over here in Germany, the second largest market for Porsche, the 997 Turbo would NOT sell at all with such a wing. Even I wouldn't buy it. Reason: many Porsche cars are driven as company cars, you don't want to drive to your customers in a race car.
I don't want to offend anybody but Porsche sometimes has a reason for not going too much for a "bling bling" or "look at me, here I'm coming..." look. This is why they are so successful, especially in Germany, the land of the "underdog" mentality.

Wow, this looks awesome! No matter what doomsayers might say, Porsche is still serious about performance! 
Re: the understated look, we have to keep in mind that a Porsche is meant to be both a sportscar and a daily driver. This has consequences on its design. A Lamborghini is supposed to look dazzling, because the owner is supposed to have an S600 on the side when discretion is required. A 911 is all about the subtle balance of performance and understatement.

I'd like to answer this in advance to RC. A lot of expensive cars are financed as company cars which gives you a certain financial benefit. You don't want to show up with a racecar-like machine when you afterwards try to sell your items at the highest price - at least not around here. Porsches have always been wolfes in sheeps clothing, not the other way 'round - in my opinon they should stick with that!
P.S. To me, it's not the rear spoiler that looks striking but the rear fender - what do they intend with that?
