I am not going to the dealer presentation, it always sucked. Yes, the food is good (my wife enjoys it, me not so much), the cars are nice, the show program is sometimes interesting too and sometimes, if we are lucky, there is an engineer from Weissach or some Porsche factory employee joining the event and replying to questions (of course not about new models and such...). Also, there are so many people I know (doctors, local business people, etc.) and it just sucks to go to everyone, to shake hands, to ask how they're doing and to lose at least an hour doing that.
I decided to have a test-drive instead. Since my wife has her birthday, I cannot do the test-drive this weekend but I will have it sometimes next week when I find the time to. My dealer has already reserved a car for me, so I can do it on a short notice. They usually do not let regular customers or potential buyers test-drive the brand-new cars, they need to be run in for 500-1000 km first and they trust me to to wreck it.
So my test-drive won't be anything spectacular and since we have winter now, not even close to the limit but I think I will gather enough information to provide some nice short review, especially when it comes to the new engine, throttle response, exhaust sound and so on.
