US allocations in the system today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dealler just called the US allocations are in the system as of Today! I got a may build. Here is what I ordered.

Congratulations. You should have it hopefully by July. Now you need to find a way to kill the time.

I know because I had the first 996TT Cab in San Diego and the waiting was long and difficult. Unfortunately my 360 Spider was scheduled with 30 days of the Turbo so the day they brought it to the dealership I told them I didn't want it. They had no problem selling it.

Yes I am very excited. Its funny I have been asking the dealer since day one about when the allocations would be available. Today he calls out of the blue and says they are in the system. Pretty cool. Yes sir you will get a full review from me

I called my dealer on Friday afternoon and they had just recieved their allocation for all other models except TT.

wood in a 911 is a no no. go for all leather and aluminium applications. you might also want to consider terracotta. looks gorgeous with slate !!

Allthough I am not quiet sure. If it is getting built in May I think it should arrive in July. Someone should pipe in if they think I am off. Standard rocker panel in exterior color, means that the area below the doors is painted the body color instead of black. External washer cover is a small cover that goes over the headlight washers. It is usally chrome and this means that it will be painted to match the body. the last one is the hand brake and Shifter in the same color leather instead of the plastic feel that they have.

Thanks. I'm curious as to whether your car will arrive with the launch cars or later. I like the rocker panel option, but, I'm certain that I'll be unable to change the specs of my launch car. Mine is an April build.

Just got back from my dealer here in Boston (Im #1 after launch car) And the allocations is not available yet. Just launch car is available.

Rich, confiemd again with the general manager today and there is no US allocation yet.No delaer in US has allocation. They are playing with you. If they placed your oder, you should ask for the refrence # and check in the system to see if this order exists and you have a production date in the system. Some dealers are dishonest.

So are you talking about across the whole US or at your dealership. If not at your dealership did you get an allocation. Or does this mean there was just 3 cars allocated?

None of Dallas Dealers have received allocations yet

Dallas is a fairly large Porsche market and neither of the 2 biggest dealers have received any allocations. My salesman showed me the order allocation screen and there were none received yet. My order has been entered into the system but that's it.

I saw my car (launch car) and two other persons car (non-launch) all spec'd out, with reference numbers, customers names and status code. It was this for this dealer's customers.

I can't help it but I get a pretty weird feeling in my stomach that some "confirmed" orders won't show up until fall.

As far as I heard, the whole german market gets slightly over 200 cars before the factory summer vacation. The US gets slightly more but not even close to the 1000 cars mentioned by somebody in an earlier post (I don't remember anymore who said it). Again, we're talking about June/July deliveries to dealers/customers, mostly launch cars. Of course there will be more cars available after the factory re-opens mid/end of August.

RC, are the blk painted wheels on 997TT simply blk paint, instead of the titanium paint of the std wheel inner edges....i.e., where the painted wheel still essentially appears largely to be a polished-finish wheel (unlike the factory-painted wheels on the 996TTS)? Per the German/UK configurator appce of the painted wheels, I passed on this option...but obviously would like to know if I'm missing something....TIA
