I wonder what enabling the DRL will do to the life expectancy of the bi-xenon lights?

DRL also runs the headlights at less than full power
The manual says DRL's run at "dim" but I think their definition of "dim" is low beams. I set up to have DRL using the Sport Chrono option and DRL and low beams are exactly the same.

I had auto DRL on a previous car and it usually seemed that my lights were on when most others weren't. (ala Volvo!)
What's wrong with turning on your lights when it starts to get dark or in poor weather conditions?

I used to have DRL on, but often forgot to turn the rest of the lights on when it gets dark. Ended up, I would drive in the evening with the DRL on and without the tail lights on. No very safe in the dark. I wonder why P-car does not have automatic headlight like BMW or Lexus?

My 997S does have automatic lights, the same as my BMW.
I just checked my car and the owner's manual page 131 still can not figure out how to set automatic lights. Can you enlighten me?
